"Tragedy" called the Swiss religious dissident Father Hans Kueng Benedict XVI's decision to accept the Catholic Church who want to return to him the whole Anglican community.
In a commentary published in the columns of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, "Fr. Kueng wrote: "After the insult, caused by Pope Benedict XVI to Jews and Muslims, Protestants and Catholics-reformers, now the turn of the Anglican Communion." "After opening the Society of St. Pius X, now Pope Benedict XVI wants to enlarge ranks of Roman Catholics and Anglicans, of Rome" - so well-known theologian, summed up the announcement of the notice of special papal document by which the Catholic Church could join whole groups of Anglicans, not welcoming the recent steps and decisions in their communities. "Traditionalists unite all the churches - under the dome of St. Peter! You see: a fisherman caught mainly on the right bank of the lake. But there is murky water" - stressed Fr. Kueng, who for a long time spares no criticism of the current pope. In his view the most recent decision of the Vatican is nothing but "a drastic change of course." "End of an established strategy for ecumenical dialogue and genuine reconciliation. It is a way to piracy priests, which was spared the obligation of celibacy, even medieval, but in order to allow them to return to Rome for papal primacy - evaluated by Fr. Kueng. In the opinion of the theologian Vatican diplomacy "beating" in this case the Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williamson. "Pope Benedict wants to restore essential to the Roman empire" - wrote Fr. Kueng. Opening of the Vatican to Anglicans who wish to join the Catholic Church in his view lead to a further weakening of the Anglican community and confusion among the faithful, and in addition to the outrage of Catholic clergy and the faithful. "Now Catholic priests have to tolerate his side converted and married pastors? What do I do priests wishing to marry, whether they are first to be Anglicans, marry, and then take it again?" - Asked sarcastically, Fr. Kueng. I "Hunger power of Rome divides Christianity and harms the church." "It is a tragedy" - he concluded. Father was an expert Hans Kueng Second Vatican Council. In 1979, Pope John Paul II took him right to teach because of the views propounded by him inconsistent with the official stance of the Church, including the papal infallibility, clerical celibacy, ecumenism and the hierarchical system of internal Church.
